Do We Think Right?

Everyone thinks; it is our nature to do so. But much of our thinking, left to itself, is biased, distorted, partial, uninformed, or downright prejudiced and most of the times driven by emotions. Yet the quality of our life and that of what we produce, make,or build depends precisely on the quality of our thought. Shoddy thinking can turn out to be very costly, both in money terms and in quality of life. Excellence in thought, however, must be systematically cultivated and it can be done only if one really can push that 'emotion' out of the picture and think or consciously bring his EQ to a very low level. All sorts of issues would then vanish............... And would then lead to a perfect picture..... So I guess that's why it never happens!!!! hmmmm.....

hmmm..how about if one can strike a perfect balance between eq and 'practical' thinking?? of course, this would be relative and a matter of opinion..but then, isnt most of the post??what say you?

@ novice
got loads of questions in my mind buddy, hard to find answers to them.

Everytime somebody says something they have no idea how many different ways in which the listener can choose to interpret it. its a fantastic feeling if one really listens with his/her ears open. i enjoy it!

@ sushmita
they can be a bit close to being right but then its boring to be perfect but interesting to know how close u can get to being perfect therefore boring!

@kriti
of course, my posts are just a channel to express my opinions. and i really enjoy it when others comment. it leads to a complete conversation.

one nice thing is i can as well paste my comments for previous post here! coz they too talk about perspectives.
Anyways. i dont know if much of our thinking is distorted or prejudiced! because they reflect judegementality and judgementality always centres around Comparision. So, how do you say it is distorted! distorted from what! what could be the error or distortion? and also..how do we know if the real source is an authentic one?
All our thoughts are the images we build by looking through the lens of our "Conditioning". we all have been conditioned by someone or some theory or some doctrine or by ourselves. and we look at things through that..and it is similar to that experiment of light..
what you see is LIGHT..and our conditioning is Prism...now put the prism infront of the LIGHT..u see the spectrum...thats the spectrum of thoughts..varied..but very much yours. If you are judging them, you are obviously comparing them and that again is with teh help of thought..so if you see..your perception and thought are not separate..as long as they are one..u cant really get judgemental or atleasy guaze its quality.
Instead...take the light..and keep the spectrum intact.
