Notions, ideas, and random thoughts that I’m processing – stuff “out of my mind”
When we think, we have our mind filled with thoughts. If I were to explain what thoughts are I would say that thoughts are nothing but cognitive events that change mental imagery. So in turn, thoughts are created by processes that relate to mental imagery, so that a logical act is implemented or executed by a sort of cyclic interaction of thoughts modifying a mental imagery which gives rise to further thoughts.
Could u picture that?
Ok! At any point of time, out of the vast space of possible thoughts, a single thought ends up being "spoken" within deliberation. Actually, "one thought at a time" is just the human way of doing things although some individuals have this ability to multi-task., but this doesn't change the basic idea.
Now I wonder instead of thinking actually! What the thought process would be like for individuals with extra ordinary intelligence? I am referring to people such as Albert Einstein or Sir Isaac Newton. Is it that they are so different even in aspects so fundamental or basic such as the thought process which takes place in a human mind, which I tried very hard to analyze or is it that the thought process itself has an unknown or an untraceable source.
Are words from a particular language a distinctive part of the thoughts process or are they embedded onto the human mind or the brain cells? Such that when they are used by these intelligent people in the right manner they sound so perfect when spoken or written?

This a strange circle..Are thoughts defined as "Cognitive eevents influencing mental imagery" or the other way round?Mind, i think, is just like heart.Infact, it is heart's counterpart...because even mind is always at work.even when you are sleeping, thoughts which are woven behind the corridors of your mind play out themselves as the dreams you see..however, some people remember them and sone dont..or say, the memory cells allocated are either short-term or long-term.
i cant say anything about einstein, but reg Newton, well, i guess the secret lies in the Apple;)
Probably, language, thoughts and thought processes all co-exist and grow simultaneously.we think with a language..and we speak/understand language with thoughts, both are inter-dependent on each other.I wonder when man can really unfold the science behind thought processes and their source. it is strange that inspite of developing various science techniques to study human mind, and inspite of using the word "thought" every day...so many times ..and even experiencing it...We still cannot give a point-blank convincing Definition to the word "Thought". thats the paradox. But it is only thought which keeps everyone going. The day mind collapses, mental death takes place.whats left will be just a bag of meat.
Fundoo thought-provoking post dude!
@ aakarsh
Dreams! This is something i forgot to consider although i have a lot to say rather add to. See if u can relate to this.
When it comes to dreams i generally think they are nothing but a surge of mental exhaustion or excessive mental energy that manifest as dreams generally during periods at which man's physcial energies come to a halt although his mind is still filled with tremendous energy. during daytimes, if this occurs, ppl generally start day dreaming and at night when the body is at rest and the mind is still active and filled with energy or is too exhausted with the activities for the day, this energy or exhaustion as i earlier mentioned takes shape and is seen as the so called 'dream'
eerie..never thought about thoughts so much...very informative too...
thoughts, dreams, mental imagery...wish i had the mental prowess of deciphering all that...much better than mentally crunching numbers all thru my life...
good work dude..very much out of the box!
Reminds me of this fantastic song by Sting "Windmills of your mind"....
Round,
Like a circle in a spiral
Like a wheel within a wheel
Never ending or beginning
On an ever-spinning reel
Like a snowball down a mountain
Or a carnival balloon
Like a carousel that's turning
Running rings around the moon
Like a clock whose hands are sweeping
Past the minutes on it's face
And the world is like an apple
Whirling silently in space
Like the circles that you find
In the windmills of your mind
Like a tunnel that you follow
To a tunnel of it's own
Down a hollow to a cavern
Where the sun has never shone
Like a door that keeps revolving
In a half-forgotten dream
Like the ripples from a pebble
Someone tosses in a stream
Like a clock whose hands are sweeping
Past the minutes on it's face
And the world is like an apple
Whirling silently in space
Like the circles that you find
In the windmills of your mind
Keys that jingle in your pocket
Words that jangle in your head
Why did summer go so quickly?
Was it something that I said?
Lovers walk along a shore
And leave their footprints in the sand
Was the sound of distant drumming
Just the fingers of your hand?
Pictures hanging in a hallway
Or the fragment of a song
Half-remembered names and faces
But to whom do they belong?
When you knew that it was over
Were you suddenly aware
That the autumn leaves were turning
To the colour of her hair?
Like a circle in a spiral
Like a wheel within a wheel
Never ending or beginning
On an ever-spinning reel
As the images unwind
Like the circles that you find
In the windmills of your mind
